Model No. 4856R Center Lug
Two-sided Die-cast Snare Lug

Rogers “Center Lugs” and “Beavertail Lugs” (for toms) were manufactured in Dayton Ohio until around 1972. These lugs were die-cast for durability and replaced the original drawn-brass B&B lug. The new Rogers vintage replacement Center Lugs are, in size and appearance a faithful reproduction of the original 1970’s lugs – however, they feature a completely re-worked spring-less design, using nylon inserts to hold the lug nuts in place.

Includes standard mounting screws and gasket

Swivo-matic Butt-End

Rogers specially designed butt-end (backing plate) mirrors the angular, cut-away design found on their famous clock face strainer. The cut-away is engineered to hold the snare cord at the proper angle for precise alignment of the snares on both sides of the drum.

Rogers new matching butt-end is faithfully designed after the original in every way, but uses drum key adjustments for ease of use.

Swivo-matic (Clock face) Strainer

Rogers’ 1962 catalog touted it as “the most practical and most efficient strainer ever designed.” The special tempered roller mechanism, combined with the precision slide construction assures perfect action with a minimum of effort. The spring–loaded cartridge bearing eliminates the constant readjusting of snare by holding the tension screw in fixed position, whether snares are on, or off. Rogers new replacement strainer is faithful to the original legendary “clock face” design, using the best casting and chroming processes.

Specifications:

Clockface body: 4-1/2″ bottom to top of handle
Drum key adjustment
Mounting hole spacing: 1-1/4″
Includes standard mounting screws

B&B (“Bread & Butter”) Die-cast Lug

This lug was used on Rogers drums between 1959 and 1964. The original iconic design was made of drawn brass with chrome plating. Known as the Bread & Butter lug,“B&B” or the “Tab Lug”, which refers to two threaded tabs that mounted the lug to the drum. Although a celebrated visual feature of the Rogers drums, these original lugs were prone to breaking over time, due to extended stress on the tabs- even with normal use.

The new Rogers B&B vintage replacement lug is, in size and appearance, a faithful reproduction of the original 1960 B&B lug – however, it features a completely re-worked die-cast construction that will not crack under tuning tension, or from any playing wear ‘n tear. A spring-less design uses nylon inserts to hold lug inserts in place.

Specifications:

Lug body: 2-1/4″ long end to end
Two sided spring-less design
Mounting hole spacing: 1-5/8″
Includes standard mounting screws and gasket

Dyna-Sonic Snare Rail Unit with 20 strand snare wires

Roger’s product designer, Joe Thompson said it best in his Jan 16, 1962 patent application for the Dyna-Sonic snare rail system: “The goal of this invention is to provide a drum with ‘floating snares’, which can be tensioned without putting pressure on the head, on a drum with no snare beds.”

The new Dyna-Sonic snare frame is that same exclusive floating snare frame design. Made of cast steel, the frame comes complete with snare wire mounted. The single tension screw located at the end of the frame, gives one-point uniformed tensioning with simple hand adjustment. Set it, and it remains in the desired position.
